MEET THE CEO
Helaine Williams, of Willingboro, NJ is the founder of Spiritually Lit. She provides affirmation candles to individuals on their healing journey and works full-time as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. Since 2021, she has hosted candle making events where family, friends, spouses and co-workers come together to eat, have cocktails, and be creative in making their own personalized candle.
From the CEO, how it started:
My Mom named me after my great grandmothers, Helen and Elaine. Not knowing at the time, that she named me "light". As Stevie Wonder said, God gave me a brand before I was even born.
In 2018, I was traveling a day before my birthday to go visit my family in Florida. When I landed, I learned that my Poppop departed this earth. I hadn't lost someone close to me before and I could not understand why it was happening, especially at this moment. I was cold to the world for a long time until one day I decided I was no longer going to sit in my misery. I had an awakening moment and my healing journey began. A few months into this journey, I came up with the idea to create candles around music and affirmations. My "light" finally switched on and I felt more purposeful than ever. I have always had a love for candles so when the idea came, it just made sense.
During this journey, I noticed there aren't many places to socialize, aside from bars and clubs. So I decided to host candle making events to bring people together while focussing on self care.
